    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop, implement, and continuously improve the Health, Safety, and Environmental management systems in compliance with Saudi Aramco standards, GOSI regulations, and Saudi labor laws.
    • Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments across all operational areas, with a particular focus on rotating equipment and refinery processes, to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
    • Investigate all incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions thoroughly, root cause analysis, and recommend effective preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
    • Deliver comprehensive safety training programs to employees and contractors, ensuring they are competent in emergency response procedures, safe work practices, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
    • Monitor and manage environmental compliance, including waste management, emissions control, and spill prevention protocols, to minimize our ecological footprint in the Arar region.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for all HSE-related queries, fostering a strong safety culture where every employee feels empowered to stop work if unsafe conditions are observed.
    • Prepare and maintain accurate HSE documentation, including reports, permits to work, and training records, ensuring all records are up-to-date and accessible for internal and external audits.
    • Coordinate with external regulatory bodies and ensure all necessary permits and licenses are obtained and renewed in a timely manner to maintain uninterrupted operations.

    Requirements and Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related scientific discipline from a recognized university.
    • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in HSE roles within the oil and gas industry, with direct exposure to refinery operations and rotating equipment maintenance.
    • Professional certification such as NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent is highly desirable.
    • Proficiency in using HSE software and analytical tools, with specific experience in process simulation software like PIPESIM for hazard analysis and operational safety.
    • Strong working knowledge of Saudi Aramco’s HSE management system (HSEMS), GOSI regulations, and Saudi labor law, particularly concerning worker safety and rights.
    • Excellent command of both Arabic and English languages, with the ability to write detailed reports, policies, and procedures in both languages.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to train, influence, and engage employees at all levels of the organization.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
