We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Rotating Equipment Engineer to join our dynamic team in Jizan, Saudi Arabia. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize the performance of all rotating equipment, including centrifugal pumps, compressors, steam turbines, and electric motors, to ensure operational efficiency and reliability.
- Lead the investigation and resolution of complex mechanical failures, conducting root cause analysis (RCA) to implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop, review, and implement maintenance strategies, including predictive and condition-based monitoring programs, to extend equipment life and reduce unplanned outages.
- Collaborate with the engineering and operations teams to support major turnarounds, shutdowns, and equipment modifications, ensuring all work is executed safely and efficiently.
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant Saudi and international codes, standards, and regulations, including Saudi Aramco, Saudi Standards Organization (SASO), and API standards.
- Manage the technical aspects of rotating equipment specifications, procurement, and installation for new projects and plant expansions.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and skill development within the team.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments related to rotating equipment, ensuring adherence to Process Safety Management (PSM) principles and Luberef’s safety policies.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline from a recognized university.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience in rotating equipment engineering, with a strong preference for candidates from the oil, gas, or petrochemical industry.
- Proven expertise in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliability of centrifugal pumps, compressors, turbines, and associated drivers.
- Proficiency in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and experience with predictive maintenance technologies like vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis.
- Strong knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards, including API 610, API 617, API 686, and ISO 10816.
- Valid Saudi GOSI (General Organization for Social Insurance) registration and familiarity with Saudization requirements.
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English; proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable for effective communication with local teams.
- Professional certifications such as Vibration Analysis (Category III), Reliability Engineer Certification (CRE), or API certifications are considered a significant advantage.
