Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable backend services using Java and Node.js to support our payment processing infrastructure.
- Implement security best practices and conduct regular penetration testing to identify and remediate vulnerabilities, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of our systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, UX/UI designers, and other engineers to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize system performance using Splunk and other monitoring tools to ensure high availability and reliability of our services.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, integration, and deployment processes, enhancing development efficiency and code quality.
- Architect and implement cloud-based solutions on AWS, leveraging services like EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS to build resilient and cost-effective systems.
- Participate in code reviews, contribute to technical documentation, and mentor junior developers to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on backend technologies.
- Expert proficiency in Java and Node.js, with a deep understanding of modern frameworks such as Spring Boot and Express.js.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, including infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Proven experience in penetration testing and security hardening of web applications and APIs.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in log management and analysis using Splunk or similar SIEM platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strong command of software design patterns and architectural principles.
- Fluency in both English and Arabic is required to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and document technical specifications.
